Business Campus Garching
Over 400 mature trees find new homes
Since construction began in 2005, a vibrant and functional mix of offices, shops, restaurants, and service providers has emerged in Garching near Munich.
We have been involved from the very beginning and have had the privilege of supporting this development process over the years. Approximately 80,000 m² of green spaces and water features are embedded in the heart of the campus, creating a lively symbiosis of work and life.
To enhance the green surroundings of the newly constructed office buildings, the landscape architects primarily utilised existing trees from the region to support the project's ecological sustainability.
For example, our team successfully transplanted nearly 20 cherry trees along a campus footpath, which had to be cleared at their original location to make way for another building complex. At the same time, several stately plane trees from Middle Franconia found a new home in Upper Bavaria, immediately creating a unique atmosphere in the new district.
Throughout the project so far, we have moved or planted over 400 mature trees and taken on all necessary aftercare and maintenance. We are proud to have been able to contribute to this environmentally conscious and sustainable concept.
