Koblenz Bridge Construction

Tree moving in Koblenz: Due to a new bridge construction project, 45 trees (29 linden, 3 ornamental cherry, 11 pagoda, and 2 tulip trees) had to be moved from the site between Koblenz Palace and the Pfaffendorfer Bridge. Using OPTIMAL 3000 and OPTIMAL 2500 tree spades, the Opitz team relocated the trees worth preserving to three new sites across the city.

In this way, the recreational area at the Gülser Moselbogen, Herberichstraße, and Lehrhohl will be enhanced with new shade in the future. According to city construction manager Stephan Dally:

"It is the most sustainable thing you can do. The trees are still in good condition, so it would be foolish to cut them down."
