Ginkgo tree relocated

The municipal depot in Bayreuth has been expanded. To make room for the new buildings, several existing trees had to be removed. A ginkgo tree, which was particularly worth preserving, and a hornbeam were relocated to a new spot in the Bayreuth Hofgarten as part of these measures. Visitors can now enjoy these new trees there.

Eichstätt Outdoor Pool

Eichstätt Outdoor PoolAs part of the redesign of the Inselbad, over 60 trees were relocated to a secure holding area by specialists from Opitz-international in November 2008, before the actual construction work began, to protect them from damage during the renovation phase. In return, the surrounding redevelopment measures could be started more quickly without having to work around these valuable sources of shade. Over the following 12 months, the swimming pools, grandstand, technical buildings, and changing rooms were redesigned. Landscaping began in November 2009. The first trees (including maple, linden, and hornbeam) were moved to their new locations using the Optimal 2500 and professionally cared for. In May 2010, the time had finally come: the new Inselbad opened its doors to the eager swimmers of Eichstätt.
