Ingolstadt new VR-Bank building

Preserving existing trees

One of the largest cooperative banks in Bavaria is getting a new home. Since the beginning of this year, the "Donau-Tower" has been under construction in the immediate vicinity of the Saturn Arena and Klenzepark in Ingolstadt. The sustainably designed building is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
The specialists from Opitz International are also involved in the construction work. The building's new entrance area is being enhanced with healthy greenery. Six stately linden trees were relocated to new sites using Optimal tree spades. The Opitz team is also ensuring ongoing care and maintenance during and after the construction phase.

CEO Richard L. Riedmaier emphasised even before construction began:

"Naturally, the surrounding trees should not be damaged by the construction project, but rather preserved. All trees on the building site will remain. They will continue to serve as a habitat for local birds and wildlife, and as a place of relaxation for our employees and tenants."
