Presentation of the QBB QPlus Award

We are delighted to have received the inaugural Qplus Award from the Quality Association for Tree Care and Tree Remediation (QBB) – a special honour for outstanding achievements in professional tree care and tree moving.

Together with our partner company Osbahr Garten- und Landschaftsbau , we were recognised for the successful implementation of a challenging project in the new Rathausviertel in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg . Our Managing Director, Tom Braam, proudly accepted the award.

The project was part of the IBA Hamburg district development, which placed special emphasis on preserving existing trees – an approach we fully support. After all, moving trees instead of felling them is a crucial contribution to sustainable urban development.

As part of the partnership project, we handled the moving of ten large trees, carried out using our OPTIMAL 3000 tree spade, which is designed for transporting trees with trunk circumferences of up to 150 cm and root ball diameters of up to 3 m . Immediately afterwards, our partner Osbahr carried out the ancillary work and will also be responsible for the maintenance of the trees for the coming years.

A total of nine alders and one pedunculate oak were moved to their new location – a complex undertaking that was successfully completed within a single day. Projects of this scale are part of our daily business. They make a significant contribution to climate protection and the quality of life in urban areas. Tree moving in particular requires not only experience but also specialised technology and seamless teamwork.

According to the QBB management, the decision by IBA Hamburg to invest in the preservation of these trees is a "beacon project." It demonstrates that sustainability and urban development can be combined when professional expertise, technology, and a commitment to quality come together.

We would like to thank the QBB for this recognition and look forward to many more projects that focus on the preservation and professional moving of trees.
