Moving trees at the Budapest Zoo.

In the Hungarian capital's zoo, the professionals at Opitz-international took on a challenge that was, quite literally, huge. As part of the renovation, 3 stately trees were successfully relocated using superlarge tree moving. The two "smaller" plane trees had a root ball size of 4.5 x 4.5 metres and weighed 65 tons each.

Once this task was successfully completed, the largest and most beautiful plane tree, with a root ball diameter of 6 x 6 metres and a total weight of 107 tons, was also successfully moved to its new location in the Budapest Zoo's elephant enclosure. The pachyderms were visibly pleased with their new source of shade.
